Privacy policy
How we handle your data. Short version: carefully, transparently, and only for as long as we need to.
01. Who we are
Puck is a hiring partner for founders of agencies and consumer brands. We operate under Puck Talent Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
If you have questions about how we handle your data, email privacy@hirewithpuck.com.
02. What we collect
When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you provide. That typically includes:
- Name and email address
- Company name and your role
- The context you share (message, interest area, links)
- If you apply for a role: CV, LinkedIn profile, salary expectations
We use Google Analytics to count which pages are visited. It runs without cookies: it stores nothing in your browser and does not identify you.
03. How we use it
We use the data you share to:
- Evaluate fit for roles you have shown interest in
- Put you forward for relevant briefs with your knowledge
- Send you role briefs that match your profile, if you have opted in
- Respond to your enquiry
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.
04. Where it lives
Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted database, encrypted at rest and in transit. Form submissions trigger a notification to the Puck team inbox via Slack. Both services operate under their own data processing agreements.
05. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of:
- Legitimate interest for candidate and lead operations (evaluating fit, responding to enquiries)
- Consent where you have explicitly opted in (form checkbox)
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@hirewithpuck.com.
06. How long we hold it
We retain your data for 24 months after your last contact with us. After that, we delete it. If you are placed into a role through Puck, we retain records related to that placement for the duration required by UK employment law.
07. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate information
- Erase your data (right to be forgotten)
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Port your data to another service
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent at any time
08. How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@hirewithpuck.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and give you a revised timeline.
09. For clients
If your organisation engages Puck as a hiring partner, a Data Processing Agreement is available on request. Email privacy@hirewithpuck.com and we will send it across.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date below. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
